From April to October we offer 3, 4, and 5 day treks exploring the Flinders Ranges and surrounding desert. We plan to offer a longer annual trek for those seeking an expedition style experience. On treks we enjoy
sunny days and cool nights, campfire meals and good company as you make your home in the Outback throughout the duration of your trek. Some treks begin and end with station accommodation and amenities. Treks are designed to maximize the diversity of the desert environment exploring the terrain leading to Lake Torrens, the second largest salt lake in Australia.

Arrive by car at Merna Mora Station on Friday afternoon, enjoy an four wheel drive transfer to the camel camp, followed by an evening camp fire meal. Treks explore the land stopping for refreshments and meals. Enjoy sleeping under the stars and returning to the homestead on the morning of your departure.

Busy young fingers pressing on small screens are happily occupied elsewhere whilst treading sand hills and looking for shooting stars at night. Kids watch for native animals on the tracks, collect firewood and help with making honey dumplings over the campfire! Family Treks are currently offered for children aged between 4 and 12 years in the April & September South Australian public school holidays, although groups are welcome to contact us with their own preferred dates. Arrive by car or take it easy and catch the bus to Merna Mora Station in the afternoon. Spend four nights sleeping under the stars. Learn what it takes to capture memorable shots that you will treasure in the years to come. Pete will offer tuition, discuss lighting, composition and much more, answering any photography questions you may have.

Camel Treks Australia will be hosting Vivek Tiwari from Kaivalyadhama India for several Yoga Treks
Vivek Tiwari will be traveling from his home in Lonavla India where he is a senior Yoga teacher at Kaivalyadhama, the world's oldest Yoga research institute. Kaivalyadhama is famous for its integrated approach to yoga therapy.
Special attention is given to those who seek to have an in-depth understanding of any sphere of yoga and is suited to the beginner and advanced yoga practitioners alike.
Arrive by car or bus at Merna Mora Station in the afternoon. Head out to the stations original homestead now used as a mustering outpost and set up camp for your first night. The camel yards are close by, take a walk a say hello. The following morning rise early for breakfast and set out for the following seven days trekking, stopping for refreshments and all meals.
