Meet Bethany
Meet Bethany Neck, a multi-talented artist with a passion for sharing her skills in painting, drawing, and sketching. With degrees in Special Education, Design, and a Master of Contemporary Art, Bethany is an experienced Multi-Cultural Dance & Arts teacher who has worked with teachers and students in various educational systems.

Bethany facilitates a Community Outdoor Painting Group, 'Random Acts of Painting & Drawing,' where she ventures outdoors to sketch and paint the Adelaide Hills in South Australia. She is very much looking forward to sharing her love of outdoor art in Outback South Australia with the camels and trek participants in September. Her creative process involves creating pencil sketches, and producing a variety of colourful watercolour studies to capture outdoor experiences and impressions.

Watercolours have become Bethany's preferred medium outdoors because they are easy to carry, dry quickly, and are fast to pack up. Sketches and watercolours can be converted into beautiful paintings again once home, and journalling or writing a few simple words to accompany the artworks can inspire poetry, creative free verse, songs, or provide prompts for story writing.
Join Bethany and learn from her expertise in art as she shares her skills and inspires you to unleash your inner artist.

Bethany's what to bring list
Bethany suggests participants bring art materials that can best withstand being in the great outdoors. Ensure that your kit of materials is light weight for ease of set up, and preferably stored within a sealed, water proof bag.

Consider arriving with a lightweight easel, camera and art materials, unless you wish to buy her ready to use 'Outdoor Art Back Pack’. This can be purchased as an 'add on' option available at the time of booking, or with advance notification can be added to your booking profile prior to arrival. All back packs ordered will be available upon trek arrival. Simply click the back pack add on option when booking, or email us if you would like to order the Outdoor Art Back Pack.
