About the Event

Trekkers journey to Lake Torrens,a salt lake that stretches for 250km in a breathtakingly stark wilderness, providing excellent opportunities for photographers, and budding geologists. Skirted by red and yellow sand dunes, this salt bush country offers a stark contrast to the distant panorama of the Flinders Ranges. The Flinders Ranges is timeless, wild, and starkly photogenic. This impressive landscape harbours a unique variety of wildlife. Kangaroos, emus, birds of many varieties can all be seen throughout the landscape.
